Describe a full crew day
For a contractor storage request, explain what arrives each evening and leaves each morning. Trucks with attached trailers need a different layout from equipment unloaded for longer storage. Add materials awaiting the next job, returned supplies and any seasonal equipment to the count.
If crews meet at the yard, include the number of arriving personal vehicles and whether they stay during the day. If suppliers will deliver directly, describe the delivery truck and who meets it. Parking, loading and receiving needs should be discussed together so the proposed space can be assessed realistically.
Review the proposed yard before planning a move
Iron Yards' standard is gated 24/7 access, perimeter fencing, lighting, cameras and month-to-month terms. The specific space, access process, accepted items and final terms will be confirmed for the proposed Katy-area location.
Ask about usable dimensions, turning room, the surface beneath loaded vehicles and drainage around equipment and materials. Confirm whether a quote describes an assigned bay, a dedicated section or another arrangement. Storage does not automatically include maintenance work, a workshop, power or delivery receiving.
